When Suniel Shetty turned dietician

Known to be a health freak, actor Suniel Shetty has recently taken on the mantle of a dietician for newbie stars. If sources are to be believed then Suniel has been counseling several newcomers on how to lose weight. The first among them is definitely actor Mahaakshay Chakraborthy, Mithun’s son who was about to lose his role in a film because he was too fat.

“The guy has been bothered about his weight for a long time. No matter how many times he was hitting the gym in a day, he was not losing that round baby face and that extra flab on his body. This is when Anna (how Suniel is popularly known among his friends) stepped in and said that he is going to do some diet counseling for Mahaakshay,” says a source.

The issue with Mahaakshay’s weight happened when he was shooting for his next film Loot, the director of the film Rajnish Thakur thought something had to be done immediately, because the actor was looking too fat for the camera.

Sources say that as Thakur was thinking of axing the actor who was trying very hard to make the cut, Suneil took it upon himself to help the actor cut the flab. Suniel gave him a proper diet plan with a list of dos and don’ts and a workout schedule.

Though it was a process of about six months, ultimately Suniel’s efforts bore fruit. Suniel also confirmed about his new role as a dietician and said that he discovered what his ‘client’ was eating from the hotel food bills.

“On the sets he used to follow the diet I gave him, but the minute we would wrap up, it was a different story. We all thought Mahaakshay was following a proper diet regime till we discovered his room food bills. After we caught the bills and had a hearty laugh, Mahaakshay eventually gave in and realised the importance of what I was saying. The result is for you to see,” says Suniel.
