When actor Yash refused to pay a bribe

I believe that Anna Hazare is doing a great thing by coming out and leading a movement like this. Each one of us is busy in our own worlds and we’d almost begun to accept the fact that there is corruption among us and were living with it. No one was taking a step to solve this issue. I’m glad that he’s taken charge of a movement so big.

The best bit about this is the fact that the entire movement is completely supported by the youngsters. When he has the backing of the youngsters, I am sure that there will be a positive outcome of the whole thing. The only sad bit is the way the government doesn’t seem to understand what Anna is fighting for. The way they’re reacting is actually shocking.

I believe that alongside this entire movement, it is important for each one of us to ensure that we let go of corruption in our lives. I remember this time when my parents had got a site from MUDA in Mysore. To get the site, which was theirs, they had to run around a lot. They were being asked for unwanted papers and, of course, bribes were part of the demands. But, my parents stood their ground. We eventually got the site without paying a bribe, but it took a long time.

I believe that if one is strong, then no one can shake their beliefs. It is better to keep your respect intact than opt for short cut methods. I have acted in a film called Kallara Sante, which showed the loopholes of the system and had done a lot of research on corruption. I plan of going to the Freedom Park and showing my solidarity once I am done with my current commitments.
