We don’t come in each other’s radar: Emraan Hashmi on Mallika Sherawat

Actor Emraan Hashmi’s first hit was one of Bollywood’s boldest films ever and it’s been almost eight years since Hashmi first stepped into the industry.

Tagged as the ‘serial kisser’ but the actor doesn’t bother about what image he has. He is rather busy these days shooting, doing workshops and promoting his upcoming film. But ask Hashmi about his former co-star Mallika Sherawat and he says that they never connected with each other, post the film.

Talking about his apparent cold war with Sherawat, he says, “I think ‘cold war’ and ‘I hate her’ are very strong expressions. I would say that that Mallika and I don’t come in each other’s radar. Ever since we wrapped Murder, we have never connected at all. And life’s good for both of us that way. She was a great performer. There’s nothing more to say.”

His co-star in Murder 2, sequel of the Sherawat-starrer, is Jacqueline Fernandez. So who does he think is a better co-star? “In terms of work, both are extremely good. And Jackkie has been great fun to work with. We shot in Goa and had an amazing time there, she is very sincere towards her work,” says Hashmi.

So when he looks back at the eight years he spent in the industry does he have any regrets? “No, not at all. I feel every mistake I made was as important as the successful films I did. I learnt from each of them. It is something that has only helped me grow. Besides, I think even a lifetime of learning is less to understand anything in particular as something new develops every minute. So I have to again update myself all the time and it’s been an amusing journey,” he said.
