Veena Malik, missing or publicity stunt?

Soon controversies and Veena Malik will be synonyms and in the latest news on the actor, she has apparently gone missing. If her business manager is to be believed, the actor has been off the radar since December 16, 7am from Goregaon Filmcity in Mumbai, till the time we went to press. Though insiders call it a publicity stunt, her manager refutes all such claims. When asked him about Veena’s whereabouts, he replied, “She has been working non stop for last few weeks. Even on 16th she was shooting for her upcoming film, Mumbai 125 kilometres at Filmcity in Goregaon.”

He adds, “She was very exhausted and was unwell for couple of days. In fact at around 6.30am she called me, but as I was asleep I was unable to answer. Then the crew members say that instead of the production vehicle she left in a black car that came around at about 7 am. After that approximately at around 10.30-11am she called Ashmit (actor and rumoured boyfriend Ashmit Patel) and told him that she is unwell and now will take some rest. But after that her phone is not reachable. We have informed the Bandra police station too, but very soon we are going to lodge a formal complaint at the Aarey colony police station, Goregaon. We have already checked with people she knows here and also at her house, but no one seems to have any clue about her whereabouts.”

However insiders feel that this is nothing more than a publicity stunt. “Veena loves to be in the limelight every single day. Then be it her ex-beau or her nude shoot, she loves to be surrounded by cameras all the time. Also besides films and item song, she will be going in for her Swayamvar — a reality show. So this well could be a runaway bride kind of situation where she will emerge in a press conference!” says sources.
