Veena Malik bags a role finally

Finally Pakistani actress Veena Malik has managed to land a role in a Bollywood film, never mind that the film is a small budget one.

“Ever since Bigg Boss ended, Veena has been trying to get a Bollywood role for herself but nothing concrete was materialising. That’s when she decided to sign whatever came her way. The film is quite small compared to what she had in mind. She’s now happy with whatever she’s got,” says a source close to Malik.

Sources say that the actress who had already applied for a work visa will now apply for a renewal of the same as she intends to stay in Bollywood longer.

Veena’s name had come to the fore ever since she made an appearance on Bigg Boss and established a relationship with Amisha Patel’s brother Ashmit when she was locked up in the house for the reality show.

“Her debut movie is called Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai and she will be playing a double role in the movie. The film will be directed by Anand Balraj (former actor who’s making his debut as director with the film) and the budget of the film is quite low. The film will have an item number too other than Veena’s,” adds the source, confirming that the film will target the single screen audience than multiplexes.

Sources close to the actor also say that Veena has got a house for herself in Mumbai and she doesn’t want to disclose the location as she’s under threat from a political party. “Veenaji is slowly wrapping up everything in Pakistan. Though she will be here on a work visa, she plans to make Mumbai her base now,” adds a close aide of the star.
