Udita Goswami plans to refresh her career with renewed zest this year. The actress has decided to go to Los Angeles to study acting and she has many reasons to justify her move.

“I want to enjoy college life," Goswami said. "Since I started young in my career, I missed out on a regular college life and never got to know how much fun it is. Studying like a normal teenager, hiring an apartment, finishing assignments — I want to do all those things. Plus, I am an actor and studying acting now makes sense. I am going to have a blast there.”

The course at the New York Film Academy’s Los Angeles campus is for a few months and Goswami is going with a friend. She also plans to meet people from Hollywood.

“My agent Simone [who is also Aishwarya Rai’s agent] has been telling me to pursue a course in LA. So, I am going to meet a lot of people during my stay. I know that if I want to work there, I need to know their way of acting, which differs from what it is here. Also, I need to get the American accent properly.”

Goswami started out with a lot of promise as she delivered a hit in Paap, but this did not pitchfork her to land big films. “A lot of people have been asking me the same question," she said. "I am just five-six movies old. I know my pace is slow, but I am happy with whatever I have achieved. I want to be seen only when my film is releasing.”

Goswami has four films lined up for release. “Sunny Deol’s The Man, Jagmohan Mundra’s Chase, Hello India and another film. These films will release when I’m away. So, I will not be away from being seen on screen,” she said with a smile.
