TV’s tantrum queens?

TV controversies never seem to end. Just when one thought that the television stars were living in harmony, news trickles in about the tantrums of two of the Idiot Box’s most popular faces. Actors Vibha Anand and Neha Marda who are currently seen on a reality show in which popular actresses sit together and rant, says sources, gave fashion designer Swapnil Shinde a tough time on the sets.

Says the source, “Swapnil had a certain look in mind for all the participating actresses. The senior actresses like Rakshanda Khan, Narayani Shastri and Urvashi Sharma were very friendly with Swapnil and followed his instructions to the T. But the newbies made life hell for Swapnil.”

The source also reveals that both Vibha and Neha were unhappy with the styles chosen for them, and made Swapnil run around at the last minute.

“At one point Swapnil was seen making adjustments on the costumes by himself. Neha had a peculiar request. She wanted to wear only stilettos. Swapnil had chosen stylish wedges for her but she was adamant for stilettos. He had to practically redo her wardrobe at the last minute,” says a source from the sets.

When contacted, Vibha admitted that such an incident took place but tells her story in a different light. “I know that the look that Swapnil was trying to thrust on me is very in. I’ve seen it on models in fashion magazines. But my only point was that if I was not comfortable in the ‘look’, it would definitely show. You can’t just make a person who has been wearing stilettos all along suddenly carry off wedges and look smart,” Neha points out adding, “I’m not into fashion as such, so carrying off new looks requires some convincing for me,” says Neha.

Vibha on the other hand says that the only problem she had was that she was originally shown a range of gowns to wear on the show. “Suddenly I was given a short dress and I was sitting in the front row during that shoot which is why I asked for more options,” says Vibha adding that she has no grouse against Swapnil. 
Swapnil, when contacted, admitted to problems on the sets but didn’t divulge more.
