TV actress Rashmi Desai in car accident

TV star Rashmi Desai had a near-death experience earlier this week when her car skidded from the road and crashed into a wall on the side. The car was luckily cruising at 80km per hour at the time of impact. “After packing up from the sets of Uttaran, Rashmi, Nandish Sandhu and her driver started for Mumbai. As the car was cruising on the highway, Rashmi’s driver didn’t notice the oil spill and the car skidded out of control,” says a source.

“The impact was such that the entire car bonnet was twisted and even the car chassis was bent. Everyone was unhurt thanks to clasped seat belts, but they all were obviously shaken up. Upon alighting from her car, a traumatised Rashmi broke down as Nandish guided her towards his car which was following them.

Nandish called for a tow van. The driver too was trembling and Nandish assured him that it wasn’t his mistake and these things happen,” the source added. Rashmi didn’t seem to have come out of the effects of the horrifying incident for quite some time. “I swear I could see my life flashing by when my car skidded. I really thought this was it but thankfully we all are okay now. Nandish being there was such a comfort as he immediately took control of the whole situation,” Rashmi said.
