The two Kapoors, two much!

Actor Shammi Kapoor, ,who had come out of his self-imposed hibernation to act opposite his grandson Ranbir Kapoor, has certainly got the young actor excited.

“Ranbir is very excited to share the screen with Shammi. He was so excited about it that he went to meet his uncle just after he had come back from a dialysis.

They had a small chat about it. There are a couple of scenes with Ranbir and Shammi together. Ranbir thinks that those scenes are a part of history because two generations of Kapoors are coming together,” says a source. The film that they are doing together is called Rock Star and is directed by Imtiaz Ali.

Shammi Kapoor, who finished shooting for the film on July 16, came back and tweeted, “Finished with Rock Star (in) Delhi. Just done dialysis here (in Delhi) and am at the airport to catch my flt (flight) to Bombay (Mumbai). Had a super time thank you all. Love.”

Ranbir, according to sources, had a huge concern whether his uncle would be able to undergo the stress of a shooting schedule since he required dialysis every alternate day to keep him on his feet.

“He expressed his concern to Imtiaz and Imtiaz assured him that he will be given the best medical aid  when he will be shooting in Delhi. We think Shammi didn’t accept the fact that somebody else would pay for his treatment but Imtiaz did make sure that he was let off at the right time so that his treatment did not suffer,” the source added.

When asked earlier about the fact whether he was looking forward to the experience of coming in front of the camera again, Shammi had said, “I have been suffering to that extent and I am disabled, I am on a wheelchair as you can see but to me it is a great feeling like a window opening.”
