The perfect cheerleaders

B-town hotties, MS Dhoni’s best buddies offer wishes for the World Cup finals in Mumbai.

The perfect cheerleaders

As Dhoni takes the field in a historic cricket match, his Bollywood friends have joined the rest of the nation in a silent prayer for him and the rest of the team. Over the years, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh have cemented their friendship with three Bollywood beauties. One of them, Asin says that she’s good friends with both Yuvraj Singh and Dhoni. In fact Asin and Dhoni have also endorsed the same brand. She says that watching her good friend play is the ideal reason to bunk work and watch the game. Interestingly more than Dhoni, Asin is keen on seeing the most anticipated landmark in cricketing history — Sachin Tendulkar’s 100th century!

“They (the producers of the film Ready directed by Anees Bazmee) want me to shoot for my film! I really hope their hearts melt and they let me watch the match! Keeping fingers crossed!” Asin says admitting that she is dying to watch the match.

About winning, Asin says there are no two ways about it. “And about us winning, I have no doubts. This time the Cup is ours! Wish Team india all the very best! And at this final, I hope to see Sachin get his century’s century,” she adds.

Actor Bipasha Basu, who has grown close to Dhoni because Dhoni is one of John Abraham’s best buddies says there cannot be a better leader than the Team India captain.

“Besides being a very talented and dependable player, Dhoni is calm and composed — and these are integral qualities of a good leader. He motivates the team, trusts them and encourages them to play well by setting examples. He believes in unity. All this makes him a captain par excellence and under his able leadership Team India will play well and we shall win the cup,” Bipasha says.

Actor Deepika Padukone also reiterates the same view. “I am always the first one to cheer for India when the team goes out to the field, in any game. We will win no matter who the opponents are,” says Deepika.
