The ex files: Anoushka Shankar and Joe Wright

If sources are to be believed then it was a joint decision by musician Anoushka Shankar and her boyfriend British filmmaker Joe Wright to leave out his ex-girlfriend, actor and former Bond girl Rosamund Pike from the wedding invitees list.

“Anoushka and Joe wanted a very private wedding with family and close friends. Since they didn’t part amicably, Joe didn’t want Rosamund around during the wedding,” says a source.

Rosamund and Joe were engaged before he started seeing Anoushka, and had also declared their wedding date. The marriage was called off when Rosamund printed their wedding cards and mailed them to their friends.  “The wedding card had some intimate pictures, including a picture of the couple in a bath tub. Joe took the whole incident as an insult and immediately broke off with her,” the source adds.

Anoushka’s publicist says that Anoushka doesn’t wish to comment on her. “I am sure everything is unfounded. (We) can’t comment,” was her brief text to DNA.

However, if sources are to be believed then Rosamund had a temporary bout of depression when she came to know about the marriage. “Ros (fondly called by her friends) was expecting a text or a call from Joe informing her about the marriage. She’s hurt that she was never informed at all. But she also respects Anoushka’s decision to keep her out of the whole thing,” the source informs.
