The Get Carter star, who visited the British capital for filming new movie Harry Brown, still carries the scar caused by the unprovoked attack.
"I remember once when I was 16, someone hit me over the head with a bottle. I didn't know he was behind me and I've still got the scar," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
In Harry Brown Caine plays the role of a widower seeking revenge for the death of a friend.
