Table tennis keeping Keith Richards away from booze, fags

Rockstar Keith Richards has found a novel way of staying away from booze and fags – table tennis.

According to sources, the Rolling Stones guitarist talked about his new hobby at The Scream Awards bash in Los Angeles.

"Keith joked that table tennis is the only thing he's put down his drink for in all these years," the Sun quoted a source as saying.

"Now, there's a bat in his hand instead of a brandy," the source added.

The 65-year-old was presented with the Rock Immortal gong by actor pal Johnny Depp in the ceremony.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star seems to be following the footsteps of his pal, and has developed an interest into the indoor sport too.

"Keith said he and Johnny were hoping to rent a cabin in Big Bear Lake, California, to enjoy some outdoor pursuits," said a source.

"But what they are most excited about is getting their teeth into some ping-pong tournaments. Apparently it's really addictive," the source added.
