Sylvester Stallone shares his b’day with my wife: Sajid Nadiadwala

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala turns a year older today. But the filmmaker, who’s best known for churning out mass entertainers that have gone on to rake the moolah at the BO, says that more than his birthday, it’s his production house completing 25 years in the industry that he’s celebrating. And with a slew of films lined up including Housefull 2, Judwaa 2, Kick, Two States and another one with Imtiaz Ali, Sajid adds that he’s now looking forward to having a rather excited year ahead.

“It’ll be a working birthday for me and it’s special because there are people pouring from all over to celebrate our production house completing 25 years,” says Sajid.

But the one message that’s bound to make it even more special for Sajid is the one that may be coming from his childhood hero Sylvester Stallone. “Yes, we are in touch ever since we worked together. He happens to share his birthday with Wardha (wife) on July 6th so they always exchange birthday pleasantries,” reveals the filmmaker whose film Kambakth Ishq had the Rocky star make a cameo.

So, any plans of bringing him down to India? “Well he’s not too fond of travelling long distance, but yes, we do hope to bring him down some day. He’s one actor, I’ve grown up watching and I’m a fan of,” admits Sajid.

“I have realised all my dreams through my films,” says the filmmaker, adding that now the only goal is to continue making films on a bigger and better scale. “I have grown up watching films that are hardcore entertainers, and I want to make films that do nothing but entertain,” he smiles.
