Sushmita Sen’s secret identity revealed

Perhaps the quietest entry on Twitter was of Bollywood diva Sushmita Sen’s. She quietly opened an account on the site a few months back and started following international music icon Lady Gaga. And no, Sushmita’s account has not been verified by the site because she has never forwarded a request for that!

“Yes, she is on the site and her account is perhaps the only big Bollywood celebrity account which has not been verified by the site. In fact, she keeps on getting queries from her fans who want to know if she is the real Sushmita Sen or not. But Sushmita chooses not to reply to those messages. Instead, she just laughs them off,” says a close friend of the actress after acknowledging the actress’s presence on the site.

So the Sushmita Sen that is following Lady Gaga is the real star.
Though the whole world seemed undecided on whether or not to like the music icon, particularly after she stepped out for an awards function wearing a meat dress, Sushmita seems to be clear about her thoughts.

“I like Lady Gaga because she is a unique individual. It doesn’t matter whether you like her or not, but carving a unique identity for yourself is something that is difficult and worth fighting for,” she had earlier said. And true to her thoughts, the real Sushmita Sen is following Lady Gaga on Twitter now! Sushmita has garnered about 35,000 followers on Twitter while Lady Gaga was voted the most popular personality on Twitter recently.

Coming back to her work front, it is now learnt that Sushmita has distanced herself since her last release, No Problem, which incidentally has tanked at the box office. “First, Sushmita didn’t attend the promotions and secondly, she politely refused BK Modi’s (the producer of the film) to attend a party to celebrate the release of the film. After Sushmita backed out, the other female lead, Kangna Ranaut, too backed out and the party was cancelled.

Sushmita has decided to be more careful about choosing scripts from now on and also be more informed about the promotional plans in future. She doesn’t want to be in the same situation again where she was quietly left out of the promotions of the film,” the source adds.

Last heard, Sushmita was scouting for financers for her upcoming film on Rani Laxmi Bai.
