Sudhir Mishra's back-toback releases

If a director refrains from talking about his own film, it sure is a cause for concern. In this case, the reason why director Sudhir Mishra will not talk about Tera Kya Hoga Johnny, has to do with the fact that he’s actually quite tired of waiting for it to see the light of day.

The film, which stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Soha Ali Khan, has been in troubled waters for what now seems like forever. Now, just when Sudhir’s other film Yeh Sali Zindagi, is all set for release, TKHJ is showing signs of a possible simultaneous release. Quite naturally, the director is not too happy about it.

According to sources, TKHJ saw itself stagnate after a major portion of the film was leaked online. The film’s producers have  been battling it out in court ever since. Ask the director what the status really is and he says, “I have delivered the film. Now, the ball is in the producers’ court, They are the only ones who will be able to tell you when the film will be released. They still have some logistics issues. Once they clear that, the film will hit the screens.”

However, what has left Sudhir on the backfoot is the fact that the film may hit the screens alongside his other film — Yeh Sali Zindagi. “I have directed the two films back-to-back, but not at the same time. It is not possible for one to direct more than one film at a time. Doing so will be unfair to both films, as there could be a clash of emotions and attention will be divided too,” says the perfectionist Sudhir, while hoping that the audience will like them both.
