Shriya Saran’s Bangalore connection

Can you think of a better way to kickstart day one of the fourth edition of the Blender's Pride Bangalore Fashion Week than with the very beautiful Shriya Saran walking the ramp?

The actress, who walked for designer Anju Modi, looked beautiful in a shimmering green beneras skirt matched with a white top.

Saran is known for her dancing skills onscreen and Bangalore saw proof of it first hand as the audience sat mesmerised. For even thought this was just a walk on the ramp, Saran's expressions depicted the role of Mira Bai, also the theme of this collection, to the T.

"This was my first time on the ramp and I am thrilled that I actually did it for Anju, as her creations are so elegant and beautiful," says Saran.

Even though Saran is known to shuffle between Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi film industries, Bangalore can't forget her cameo in Kannada film Arasu alongside actor Puneet Rajkumar.

Nostalgic about being in Bangalore, Shriya says, "This city is a special place. I come here often as a few of my close friends are based here."
