Shriya Saran robbed in Barcelona

Shriya Saran went through a really harrowing time in Barcelona as she was robbed on a train. The actor who has been in Europe shooting for a film was nicked off her entire shopping.

A close friend of the star says, “Shriya has been having the most enjoyable working summer. She was shooting across Europe, the volcanic ash notwithstanding, and she has a pocket full of tales to tell. Last week she was in Barcelona, shooting for a South Indian film.

One afternoon when she did not have shooting, she took off with some unit friends for a bit of shopping. Everyone took the train back to the hotel and mid way, Shriya and her colleagues suddenly realised that they had been robbed on the train itself. They didn’t even realise when the thug robbed them off their entire possession.”

Despite the stress Shriya is calm about the incident. “Hey listen, they say, everyone has to get nicked sometime. This was my turn. But I’m seriously amazed that none of us even felt it happening. We just discovered it much later, as we were getting off.”

Revealing how much the loss was, the actor adds, “Oh, some very pretty curios for the house, a couple of bags, shoes. You know, just happy retail stuff. Barcelona such a beautiful place, that I just want to go back again. This time  purely on holiday and I’m going to tie all my bags around my neck, so no one dares nick me again.”
