Shreyas Talpade gets a ‘Godfather’?

Actor Shreyas Talpade may have made it so far without any filmi connections or Godfathers in the industry, but looks like, now he may have found one in his senior co-actor Nana Patekar.

Apparently, the senior actor is quite impressed with his younger co-star and has been recommending his name to several filmmakers too.

According to a source, the two hit it off right away on the sets of their film Kamaal Dhamaal, Malamaal and were often seen immersed in deep conversation about films. “Shreyas and Nana shared a great camaraderie on sets. Shreyas holds Nana in very high regard, while he too is very impressed by Shreyas. That both of them are Maharashtrians also gave them much to bond on their shooting schedules,” says a source.

Directed by Priyadarshan, the film that also stars Paresh Rawal and Anjana Sukhani is said to be the sequel of the earlier film Malamaal Weekly. Another insider reveals, “Contrary to what most people think about Nana, he’s actually a very easy-going guy. He rarely ever retired to his vanity vans even in between shoots and would share his lunch with everyone on the sets. He was quite taken by Shreyas’ dedication and was even overheard praising the younger actor. In fact, the actor even recommended his name to a few filmmakers who were looking at casting Nana with a younger actor.”
