Shibani Kashyap is high on life

Singer Shibani Kashyap recently took off to Canada last month! An avid nature lover and travel freak, it was a total adventure trip for Shibani. The weather was pretty playful — hot in the day and beautifully cool in the evenings, windy at times but overall very pleasant. Shibani landed in Toronto, the capital city of Canada. “Canada is a beautiful country! Lake Ontario which is the world’s largest fresh water lake marks the beauty of Toronto,” she says.

The highpoint of the trip was undoubtedly the Niagara Falls. “It is breathtakingly beautiful…perhaps the most beautiful place on earth,” says Shibani. The colossal waterfalls are a natural divide between the two countries — Canada and America.

“It welcomes you with a continuous spray of water which is crowned by a rainbow that runs throughout the river body on which the waterfalls cascade!” Shinbani took a tour of the Niagara Falls on the boat called ‘Maid of the Mist’, which she says was “simply unbelievable!”

“The entire Niagra town is a very pretty place framed with the most beautiful pine trees! It is as green as an emerald and makes for a perfect holiday destination.” On the way to Niagara, Shibani came across some stunning vineyards of which the Ice wine vineyards were the special ones as the wine there is fermented at a temperature of minus 20 degrees. “It’s extremely sweet and is a dessert wine. Having ice wine in a medieval wine cellar; eating duck pate; and visiting Saint Benedict’s Abbey on the Missouri River make for a perfect romantic trip. In Quebec, couples take off for cycling in the French - Canadian countryside. While in Calgary people can enjoy private sleepover in a rainforest at the Calgary Zoo.”

Shibani indulged in shopping, eating, sight seeing and also some sporty activities. Ice fishing, she says, is a must try in Canada. “You fly in a helicopter and watch the polar bears and seals below.”

She also visited the famous Glenbow Museum which has more than one million artifacts. “I had the pleasure of going on top of the C N towers - the tallest building of Canada and the second tallest in the world!” What made her trip most comfortable was the presence of so many Indians in Canada. “It is a multicultural country and the best thing is that there are so many Indians there.”
