Actress Shazahn Padamsee talks about her brand new bachelor pad in Mumbai.

Shazahn Padamsee is shifting base

Actor Shazahn Padamsee will be staying all by herself from now on and she describes this stint as “independent living”.

The actress reveals that she has recently shifted to her own pad in Khar from her previous one in Bandra.

Shahzahn describes her new pad as a beautiful, spacious home. “This is something that I have always wanted. My new home is in a very quiet lane in Khar. I found my previous home on Hill Road in Bandra too noisy. I am enjoying every bit of my new home — sitting with the windows open on the beautiful balcony,” she says.

All said and done, Shazahn says that she also loves staying at her father, theatre enthusiast Alyque Padamsee’s place, in South Mumbai.

“I love my father’s place too, it’s very cosy. I have grown up there, so I have special childhood memories of that place. I still go to my dad’s place to chill out. In fact, it remains one of my most favourite hang-out destinations,” says Shazahn.

Though her parents are not together anymore, Shazahn says that they had a long and fulfilling marriage — something that she is looking forward to for herself someday.

“I am very young but yes, my mom and dad had a very happy marriage and I had a very happy childhood. It’s too early to talk about my marriage but I’d say that my parents had a successful marriage,” she says.

Talking about her debut film, Rocket Singh, Salesman of the Year, in which she starred opposite actor Ranbir Kapoor, Shazahn says that she doesn’t feel that she was sidelined in the film at all.

“I was definitely noticed and there couldn’t have been a better platform than that film for my launch. I have never expressed any displeasure over that film and I don’t know where those reports came from. I would love to work with Adi sir (director Aditya Chopra),” she concludes.
