Shahid Kapur rubs Vidya Balan the wrong way

Actor Shahid Kapur maybe upbeat about his recent release, but he has apparently managed to rub few people the wrong way, which was perhaps evident in that those invited did not turn up for the premiere of the film.

The actor had apparently invited his rumoured ex flames, actresses Vidya Balan and Priyanka Chopra, but neither turned up. Piggy Chops was in the capital for an event, while Vidya chose give it a miss as she was busy shooting throughout the day.

The trailer of Milan Luthria’s The Dirty Picture that released a few weeks back, has been getting rave reviews for Vidya, but Shahid apparently does not think much of it. Vidya, who plays Silk Smitha in the biopic, has understandably put on a few kilos to look the part. According to sources, Shahid recently saw the promos of the film and wasn’t very impressed with the way Vidya looked in the film.

“He was curious to see the trailer as everyone was talking about it, but he couldn’t keep it to himself when he saw it finally. He made some unflattering comments about Vidya’s weight gain and the way she looked in the film as soon as he saw her on screen,” the source adds.

It may be recalled that Vidya and Shahid were rumoured to be seeing each other sometime back. The duo clicked when they worked together in Kismet Konnection and apparently started dating each other shortly. Neither admitted to seeing each other and eventually the relationship too fizzled out.

A source close to them says, “Vidya and Shahid never admitted to seeing each other because they never really got time to know each other. The relationship went kaput too soon and left a bad taste thereafter. We aren’t sure but I think Vidya was referring to Shahid when she said that the person she was dating made her feel insecure about her looks and weight.”
