Sayali Bhagat moves court, seeks cancellation of bail to PR agent

Actor Sayali Bhagat has filed a petition at the Mumbai High Court seeking cancellation to a bail granted to her former public relations assistant. Her public relations assistant Anant Narayan was previously arrested by the Mumbai cyber-crime cell on various charges including sexual harassment. There are also charges framed under several sections of information technology.

“My friends in the cyber crime cell tell me that nobody was aware that he walked away with the bail. Even Sayali was not aware that a bail was granted to him. Hence she has moved court again seeking cancellation of the bail. Now whether the bail can be cancelled or not will depend on the court,” says a police officer.

The controversy arose after a press statement was issued on behalf the actor stating that she was sexually harassed by some actors in Bollywood. The statement named several top Bollywood actors and filmmakers. While the PR agent cited a contract with her and said that he was working under instructions from her, Sayali completely denied issuing any statement.

“The matter is in the hands of the court and at this point of time, the police doesn’t have any role to play. All that we can do is prepare the chargesheet and I am sure that is already in process,” the police officer added.
