Sanjjanaa’s pet project!

Actor Sanjjanaa is just back from a shoot in Singapore and she can’t stop talking about the part where she had to shoot with a python. She will be seen with it in a song from Rebel. “It took a lot of convincing by my team to get me to shoot with a python that weighed 15-20 kgs. I was naturally scared.

Yes, it was a pet python, but still I didn’t want to take a risk. Finally my director goaded me by saying that it is not often that heroines get to perform such daredevil acts. I wonder how I actually managed to look happy with it around my neck in front of the camera!” says Sanjjanaa. The shoot took place at Universal Studio.

 Apart from Rebel in which she stars opposite Aditya, Sanjjanaa is working on several other projects. “Two of my big banner Kannada films are already up for release. Ko Ko is slated for a month-end release while Narasimha will release during Sankranti,” says the actor whose last Kannada outing was I Am Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona.

In Ko Ko she will be seen in a situational number. “For the first time I will be doing a special song and I wish to clarify that it is not an item number. The song is crucial to a situation where Priyamani meets the hero, Kitty.” The actress adds that she did the song on the insistence of director Chandru. “I feel we are lucky for each other. He gave me a hit like Mylari so when he offered me the song in Ko Ko, I could not say no to him.”

In her other film Narasihma, she is cast opposite Ravichandran. “I play Laila, a stage performer,” she says.  Sagar opposite Prajwal Devraj is also in her kitty. These apart, she has Malayalam films Casanova opposite Mohanlal and The King and the Commissioner with Mammooty to look forward to.
