Sanjay Dutt's too busy for TV!

The actor who’s been getting several offers post his small screen outing, has apparently put all TV plans on hold to focus on his action line-up at the box office.

Sanjay Dutt's too busy for TV!

If 2011 was a year of comedies for actor Sanjay Dutt with films like Double Dhamaal, Rascals, Ready and Desi Boyz, then this year it’s certainly action.

The actor, who kickstarted the year with a superhit Agneepath as a baddie, will now be seen playing a hardened cop in Department, followed by equally action-oriented fare in Son of Sardar, Zilla Ghaziabad and Race 2.

Excited to get into the shoes of a cop again, Sanjay says that he may have played a cop several times in the past, but each character is different from the other. “It’s always fun playing a cop and interesting too. But I don’t think it’s the same. Each film has a different set of baddies to bash and different situations to react to, so it’s a new challenge each time,” says Sanjay.

As for getting back to doing action, an industry insider  says, “Sanju is in his best form and is as excited about doing all the heavy-duty action fare as he was decades ago.” According to sources close to the actor, action has always been a genre close to the actor’s heart and his physique, his strong point.

“Sanjay was one of the first actors in Bollywood to sport the muscles and he’s still very disciplined when it comes to work outs,” says the source. Apparently, the actor who has a state-of-the-art-gym at home itself, makes it a point to work out daily. “Ever since he married Manyata, there’s been a noticeable change in his lifestyle including diet, which  definitely has become more healthy,” says an insider.

In between all his films, buzz is that post his Bigg Boss stint, the actor has also been getting several TV offers. “Yes, Sanjay has been getting offers on TV, but right now he just doesn’t have the time to take up anything at present. Apart from five to six films, he’s also been rather busy with his sports league, which is taking up all his time now. The production house is being taken care of by Manyata, but right now he just doesn’t have the time for TV. Even if something comes up, it will only be after two-three months,” adds an insider.
