Sanjay Dutt follows strict 'alcohol free' diet

For the first time, Sanjay Dutt has revealed that he is following a strict diet plan which includes totally keeping off alcohol.

And in this battle against the bulge and alcohol, Munnabhai has found a reliable circuit. Criticism had mounted against Sanjay when he was seen with a paunch in his recent films (Kidnap, Blue, All The Best, EMI, Luck). Sanjay’s close friends say since then the actor had been trying very hard to kick the bottle and get back into shape. The man responsible for Sanjay’s weight loss is his new trainer Shereveer Vakil.

Sanjay says, “I lost 22 kilograms and I have got back the 32-inch waist that I had long ago, in my teenage days. In fact, I had to get a new wardrobe.”

The first thing that Shereveer told Sanjay was that his diet should be alcohol-free. Sanjay adds, “Shereveer got me back on track in no time. I now follow his instructions to the T and most importantly his miraculous alcohol-free diet plan has worked wonders for me.”

Sanjay admits that he was ‘shocked’ the way the alcohol-free diet plan worked on him. “I could not believe the way my weight dropped from Day 1, in spite of absolutely no exercise at that time. I have worked with trainers and dieticians from all around the world for the last 25 years but I have never met anyone with this kind of nutritional knowledge,” says Sanjay.

Shereveer also admits that he ‘motivated’ the actor to be off alcohol but refuses to take credit for anything. “It’s all his (Sanjay Dutt’s) credit. He motivated himself to follow an alcohol-free diet plan. Even Manayata madam (Sanjay’s wife) is very happy with the results. We all wanted to get the old Sanjay Dutt back and I am sure that day is not far away,” Shereever says, who is also the current personal trainer of Ajay Devgan, Kajol and Tabu.
