I can already foresee a revolution in India. People are all waking up to support Anna Hazare’s fight against corruption. I believe that the Jan LokPal Bill should be implemented soon. I support this fight for justice completely,” says actress Sharmila Mandre, who made it to sign a petition supporting activist Anna Hazare at

Freedom Park, Bangalore. “We need to make a lot more noise about it and ensure that the people sitting at the top know that we’re watching them. Only our collective voice will lend support to this fight,” says actor-director Upendra, who also addressed the gathering.

Many actors and technicians from the Kannada film industry dropped in through the day to sign the petition and lend their voice to this protest.

“I stand by Anna Hazare. What he is doing through the hunger strike has managed to impact the lives of so many people across the length and breadth of the nation. Hats off to him,” says actor Kiran Srinivas.

Pooja Gandhi, Neettoo, Srinagara Kitti, Nagashekhar, Priya Hassan and Kaviraj were among the others who were at the venue. “I think that it is only right that everyone supports Anna Hazare. What he is doing is very noble. I sincerely hope he wins this battle,” says Jennifer Kotwal. Actor Ramya, who landed at the venue later in the evening, even invited her fans to join her in this cause.

With many more candlelight marches and other protests lined up for the weekend, it looks like Sandalwood will come out with   guns blazing in this fight against corruption.
