Sandalwood's my second home: Bhama

Malayalam import Bhama reveals that she’s got two good Kannada projects in the pipeline as she gears up for her upcoming releases.

Sandalwood's my second home: Bhama

She’s one of the most promising names from Kerala. Bhama, who wooed the audiences in Karnataka with Modala Sala, is extremely excited about her two films that are ready for release.

“I have Ondu Kshanadalli and Shyloo ready for release. Both these films have been great learning experiences for me,” she says.

Talking about Shyloo, where she gets to act opposite Golden Star Ganesh, she says, “I am really privileged to work alongside Ganesh, it is my good luck. I think he is a great actor and a wonderful human being. He made it extremely comfortable when we shot for the film and I learnt a lot from him. I haven’t seen any of his films, but I have heard a lot about Mungaru Male.”

Bhama is also thrilled that she was chosen to play the lead role in Shyloo, which is the remake of the Tamil hit Mynaa. “Even though most of my Malayalam films have given me strong characters, I think Shyloo has been by far the most challenging experience for me personally. I feel glad that I have got such a nice role in just my third film in the industry.”

Bhama has two other films outside Sandalwood, Sevens, a Malayalam film, and Sevarkodi, a Tamil film. She has two new Kannada projects that she will zero in on soon, she reveals.

“I love the Kannada language and am trying my best to learn it as fast as possible. I think I am getting better too. It is my good fortune that I’ve got three films, where each of my characters was important. I feel blessed enough to call Sandalwood my second home.”
