Sand, soccer and music at Barefoot fest!

Pump up the volume as a one-of-its-kind beach soccer fest — the Barefoot Festival — brings together some well-known DJs to perform in Goa this weekend. From techy moods to edgey riffs, spinning melodies to driving basslines the festival will give music fans an opportunity to groove to energetic beats brought by a collaboration of popular homegrown and international artistes.

Opening on Friday (February 9) will be DJ Ankytrixx followed by Tuhin Mehta, MaRLo and Simon Patterson. Saturday will witness DJ Mon, Arjun Vagale, First State and Sasha in that order.

So get ready to soak in some sun and get sporty as these EDM (Electronic Dance Music) artistes belt out some enchanting tunes at the Calangute beach — catering to both music lovers and sports enthusiasts alike. “I have heard great things about the warm people, beautiful beaches and vibrant nightlife of Goa and can’t wait to get there for Barefoot! The world’s finest artistes love going to India because audiences adore the music,” says DJ Sasha as he talks about playing in India.

Speaking about performing at Barefoot, British trance DJ and producer from London, DJ Simon Patterson said, “I have heard a lot about India and its warm generosity. But what I am looking forward to is being in Goa, which is one of the most popular tourist hubs of India and known for its stimulating and thrilling culture.
