Salma Hayek feels plastic surgery is ‘not beautiful’

Mexican film actress Salma Hayek has said that every woman has the right to preserve her youth, just not through plastic surgery.

In the September issue of Allure, Hayek, 44, says she understands the desire of women to stop the aging process, but she said beauty is something to be brought out and enhanced, not manufactured by a doctor.

“I believe that every woman is entitled to fight to preserve her youth,” People magazine quoted her as saying.

Hayek expressed her aversion for plastic surgery by calling it “uniform of a generation” and “not beautiful”.

“It’s like the uniform of a generation. And it’s not necessarily beautiful. It’s not wrinkled-looking, but it’s not beautiful,” she said.
