Saif Ali Khan plays mediator for Kareena Kapoor & industry gal pals

In an industry where two actresses can hardly be friends, it helps to have a boyfriend capable of changing the equation. In the past, most actors in multi-star cast films are believed to have not got along with each other.

Now, while actress Kareena Kapoor is friendly with all the Khans and the Kapoors in the industry, she apparently did get caught up in a few cat-fights early in her career.

Today, she might be a changed person but those equations remained strained, until beau, actor Saif Ali Khan walked into the picture.

It is a known story that Bipasha Basu and Kapoor couldn’t stand each other during the shooting of Ajnabee and didn’t see each other eye to eye since then, until Khan intervened.

The two girls warmed up to each other at a recent awards function, as Kapoor extended an olive branch to Basu by inviting her to a special party hosted by Khan.

Since then, the two have been spotted at events being cordial to each other. Recent reports had also suggested that all was not well between Deepika Padukone and Kapoor, but they have called it a truce and all this is apparently thanks to Khan again.

A source close to the couple says, “Saif and Bipasha bonded big time on the sets of Race and have been in touch ever since. Kareena probably decided to end the animosity and went up to Bipasha because of the friendship Saif shares with Bips. Ditto with Deepika too, who has worked with Saif in two films and has always maintained that they share a great friendship.”

Until recently, things weren’t apparently exactly fine between actress Preity Zinta and Kapoor. Once again Khan seems to have intervened to take stock of the situation.

It can be recalled that Khan and Zinta shared great chemistry in Salaam Namaste and have continued to be great friends. Much to everyone’s surprise, Zinta was recently seen talking about Kapoor and, if sources are to be believed, it is once again, courtesy Khan.
