Rohit Shetty keeps his casting promise

In an industry where everything is transient and false promises are an everyday phenomena, it’s inspiring to hear that a film-maker has lived up to his words. And director Rohit Shetty is one such person.

Rohit, who was a judge on the reality show, Jubilee Comedy Circus, has signed on the talented contestants VIP and Krishna for his forthcoming film, Bol Bachchan. In fact, even his co judge on the show, Archana Puran Singh has a role in the film, which also stars Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin and Prachi Desai.

A source from the unit says, “Rohit has always maintained that VIP and Krishna are very talented and he is now living up to his word. He made sure that he managed to find roles to suit Archana, Krishna and VIP.”

While shooting for the film is currently on in Jaipur, the source informs that Rohit, who was judge on the last season of the show, was so immensely impressed by the two contestants that he had kept them in mind right from the scripting stages of the film. “He made it a point to offer them the roles without being sure if they would accept it even. But with Rohit’s films doing so well at the box office there was no way the three wouldn’t want to be part of his film. In fact, even on the show, Archana, VIP and Krishna have on numerous occasions conveyed to the director how much they loved both Singham and the last film from the Golmaal franchise,” adds the source.

Now, while the fate of Bol Bachchan is yet to be seen at the box office, the one thing that we can’t ignore is that Rohit, who’s earned success through sheer hard work, values talent and is open to providing opportunities for the deserving ones out there.
