Riteish-Genelia say ‘I do!’

At a time when B-Towners prefer to keep the mystery around almost every aspect of their private life intact, actors Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh are celebrating every moment of their journey to the new chapter in their lives. The newly-wed couple, who tied the knot on February 3 after a long courtship, put out their wedding picture on a micro-blogging site. Riteish immediately tweeted a picture of theirs after the wedding ceremony as ‘Mr and Mrs Deshmukh’.

A source close to the couple revealed that the highly speculated church wedding took place at Bandra’s St Anne’s church. “Genelia and Riteish had a  church wedding on Saturday morning around 10 am. The ceremony took place at St. Anne’s Church.  Genelia looked stunning in her white gown, while Riteish looked handsome in his tuxedo. While the attendance from Genelia’s side was maximum, Riteish too had his gang, including brothers Amit and Dheeraj, sister-in-law Aditi, filmmaker Karan Johar and other close pals. However Riteish’s dad, politician Vilasrao Deshmukh and mum were not seen at the do.”

Says a source close to the couple, “The Maharashtrian wedding ceremonies began early morning on Friday, with many friends of the family from senior politicians, society and film industry attending it. Prominent among the industry folks were Abhishek Bachchan who walked in with his mother Jaya, Shah Rukh Khan  sans wife Gauri, Sajid Khan with Jackie Shroff and Akshay Kumar. Farah Khan seemed to have skipped the function. Genelia’s friends like John Abraham, Shahid Kapoor were there too. However, all eyes were on one unexpected visitor — Kamal Haasan.”
