Singer Rihanna says she’d love to play late diva Whitney Houston on screen. Speaking at a press conference for her latest flick Battleship in Japan, the Barbadian singer has shot down rumours she is in the running to play the late legend in a forthcoming biopic, but admitted she would be honoured to take the role. “I didn’t get that call yet,” the Mirror quoted her as saying.
“That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do because I would want to really pull it off,” she said.
The 24-year-old popstar went on to speak about the tragic singer and how she had influenced her. “I love her. She’s one of my big music icons, and I have always looked up to her. My first song that I remember falling in love with was a Whitney Houston song. All of her music actually was always played in my house, with Mariah Carey and Celine Dion.”
