Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez don desi designs

Designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock are now used to seeing international celebrities wear their designs on various occasions.

But hey, there’s no harm in keeping a tab, right? Joining the list are singers Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Fergie, who were spotted in Shane and Falguni creations early this month. Lopez, who is judging the reality show American Idol, apparently wore a beige number at an episode aired last week. She even got up from her desk to do an impromptu jig at the insistence of other musicians present there.

“Lopez’s stylist liked an outfit from the line we had shown at London Fashion Week. She’s picked another outfit, which she will be seen in, in the near future,” says Falguni.

The outfit Lopez wore, however, was sent back to the duo to be tweaked to her size and the singer apparently loved the final cut.

“We’re in talks to design for one of her upcoming music videos as well, but I can’t divulge more on that,” says the designer.

The beige coloured dress has short sleeves and is adorned with a lot of metal embellishments on it and a zipper at the back.

“It looked good on her because her make up was also in tones of copper and gold. It had our signature feather detailing to it as well,” says Falguni.

Musician Rihanna was also apparently spotted in an outfit the duo had exhibited at a previous fashion week. “She wore it for a private performance in London, early this month. It went well with her red hair. Rihanna just might wear our creation for a major awards function soon, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed,” smiles Falguni.

The outfit, says Falguni, was a long black and brown see-through dress with a lot of detailing to it. And Fergie, she says, has also sported one of their creations in her new music video.

As of now, the couple is busy with creating outfits for the bridal season. “The bridal market is one of the biggest ones in India, so that’s where our focus is for the time being,” smiles the designer.
