Rihanna forgets to turn off tap, floods luxury hotel room

Popstar Rihanna apparently forgot to close the tap in her Savoy suite and flooded the hotel room.

The ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ star was staying at $3,100 a night suite along with her entourage at The Savoy in central London, where the singer reportedly, forgot to close the tap and flooded her rooms leaving the carpets a soggy mess.

The incident took place last Sunday night after the 23-year-old star appeared on ITV1’s X Factor.

The hotel insiders confirmed the incidence.

“The room where Rihanna was with her entourage flooded when the bath taps were left on,” the Daily Mail quoted a source as telling People magazine.

“They all left the room and when they came back the carpets were wet through. There was no lasting damage but it took a while to dry out. All of the party were hugely apologetic.

“They were told not to worry. People at the hotel were joking that those in the floor below would need umbrellas -- just like Rihanna’s song in 2007,” the source added.

However, the hotel spokesman remained mum saying that they did not comment on the guests staying in their hotel.

“We are unable to comment on the guests staying in our hotel,” the spokesman said.

The Savoy is popular with celebrities including Victoria Beckham and Elton John.
