Reception postponed for 5 mths for Dharmedra

You must have seen fans of cinestars doing odd jobs in a TV show to meet their favourite celebrities. However, an Amdavadi fan of Dharmedra has gone beyond that. Rajesh Vyas, fire-cracker expert, has postponed the reception of his son for nearly five months, so that Dharmendra could attend it.

Rajesh Vyas' son Jay got married on December 8, 2009 and reception was arranged on December 13. "Dharmendraji had promised me to attend the function and bless the newly wedded couple. However, I had to cancel the function due to business reasons," said Rajesh Vyas.

Afterwards, Dharmendra had allocated time twice or thrice in January and February but nothing could work out because of Vyas's engagements. "As my business is to conduct fire-cracker show on marriage and other occasions, I found myself busy on most auspicious days chosen for marriage and reception," said Vyas.

At present, Dharmendra is busy with shooting of his film 'Yamala Pagala Deewana' in Punjab and he will become free in April only. "Papaji (Dharmendra) and Bobby have promised to attend the function in April," he said.

He also said that along with other fans of Dharmendra in Mumbai he would visit the shooting venue of 'Yamala Pagala Deewana' in Punjab.

Explaining the postponement of the reception of his son for five months only for Dharmendra, Vyas said that he had family relation with Dharmendra for nearly 28 years. "Whenever I visit Mumbai, though for my business, I stay at his house," claimed Vyas. He also said that Dharmendra had come to Ahmedabad and visited his house when his son Jay was only six months.

Vyas had conducted fire-work shows in marriage of Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol as well as at marriage of Dharmendra's sister. He said that working with Bollywood stars is nothing new for him.

He had conducted such fire-work shows at marriage ceremonies in Raj Kapoor family and wedding of Shilpa Shetty and other celebrities along with leading businessmen of the country. It may be noted that during the Kankaria Carnival in 2008 and 2009, Vyas was entrusted with the responsibility of lighting up the skyline.
