The item girl feels song starring actors John Abraham-Deepika Padukone more vulgar.

Rakhi Sawant miffed with censors for editing her song

After taking digs at actress Sonakshi Sinha’s weight, item girl Rakhi Sawant has hit out at actors Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

According to a statement by Rakhi, she has suggested that the Censor Board found her song vulgar, while John and Deepika’s recent song has been left off the hook.

The Censor Board has apparently refused to pass certain words from a song picturised on Rakhi recently, as they found it suggestive and vulgar. An enraged Rakhi said that the song picturised on John and Deepika had more vulgar lyrics.

“Rakhi is upset with the Censor Board for beeping out the words ‘Choos le’ from her song Jawani Ki Bank Loot Le in her upcoming film Loot. She feels that she has been targeted by the Board in a biased manner. She is breathing fire right now,” says a source.

Rakhi insists that though the words could be controversial in nature when singled out, in her song they have been used aptly and is not offensive. The statement released on her behalf quotes her saying that she feels that the Censor Board is ‘biased’.

Rakhi cited the lyrics of the song Jhak maar ke from Desi Boyz, which has been picturised on the Bollywood hotties.

“If they are so strict, why have they passed a song titled Jhak maar ke picturised on John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in Desi Boyz?” asks Rakhi in her statement.

“If Choos le can be considered offensive, even Jhak maar ke is a vulgar phrase. But the censors have allowed it to pass because the film has big stars in it. Even John’s dance steps in the song are in bad taste. He’s making distasteful gestures with his hand. I make no such gestures in my song,” she adds.

When contacted, the Censor Board Chief Pankaja Thakur didn’t want to comment on the issue.
