Priyanka Chopra parties in LA

Actress Priyanka Chopra’s latest release Barfi! has garnered critical acclaim and is said to be a success. The actor who played the role of an autistic girl Jhilmil has been appreciated for her performance by one and all. However, the actor hasn’t been here to celebrate the success and bask in the glory as she had to leave for Los Angeles to work on her impending music album release. Priyanka has been travelling quite a bit since the past few months and she was in Mumbai only to promote her film. On Saturday night, she took off to Los Angeles to complete work on the international music album she is currently working on.

Besides the success of the film, she also has another reason to celebrate. PC recently released her first single, In My City from her music album and that too has been appreciated very well by the audience. A source close to her reveals, “As soon as she landed in Los Angeles, her phone was buzzing with congratulatory messages for her performance in Barfi!  and the huge collection it has garnered over the weekend. When she left, she had no idea how the film was faring as she was on a long flight. The minute she landed, she was bombarded with pending congratulatory messages from her friends and family. It was a double celebration for Priyanka who had just launched her first single and then her film did very well.”

Since she didn’t have any time to celebrate, her manager decided to have a celebration bash that very day because she knew that once they  start working, it would be impossible for them to take a break. So the minute they landed, Priyanka invited all her close friends, including her musician friends and the crew that worked with her on her album. They went to a very famous night club and partied till five in the morning. A close friend of hers reveals, “Priyanka was thrilled that her film had done well. Especially since everyone had told her to not to do this film as it would finish her glamour quotient and her career. But the fact that the film did well made her feel special because she had trusted her instincts.”
