Priyamani the golden girl of Bangalore fashion week

A golden backdrop, shimmering gold lights, a sparkling outfit with shimmering accessories, and the very sensuous Priyamani.

Well, that sure makes for the perfect recipe for a fabulous show. Walking for designer Ramesh Dembla at the Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week, National Award winning actress Priyamani looked sexy and confident as she set the ramp on fire.

“This is my second time on the ramp and I am thrilled to be walking for Ramesh, as he is a good friend. His creations are elegant and beautiful,” she says.

Priyamani deals with a rather hectic work schedule that requires her to travel across the country to play her roles in several film industries, but says she always has a special bond with Bangalore.

“I am a true blue Bangalorean, I just cannot give up this place. I still remember bunking college to go on a shopping spree on Brigade Road. We could never get bored of roaming around,” she recollects. And where does she hang out now? “I love Cuppa. I am quite the mall rat too,” she admits.

The actress, who received critical acclaim for her performances in movies like Raavanan and Rakt Charitra says, “It was dream come true to work with such stalwarts like Mani Ratnam and Ram Gopal Varma. I can’t ask for more.

” With two projects in Sandalwood — Vishnuvardhana with Sudeep and Lakshmi with Shivarajkumar and two other projects in Telugu, the actors’ kitty seems full.

However, Priyamani believes this is just the beginning. “Though winning a National Award is special, as an actor, I would rate myself a six on 10. I still have a long way to go,” she says.
