Preity Zinta’s film gets delayed

The fact that tPreity's maiden venture as a producer has been rescheduled for a later release date suggests that there is trouble in paradise

Preity Zinta’s film gets delayed

Actor-turned-producer, Preity Zinta’s woes as a producer just don’t seem to end. We have now learnt that her film Ishq in Paris is all set to release in September, rather than the original date, in June. A source informs us, “Yes, the film has been delayed for now. It will see a September release. They are not ready with the film yet. A lot of post production work is still left to be taken care of. The final product is far from ready, so the producers had to make an immediate decision especially with the original release date is nearing.”

Apart from this, there are also rumours doing the rounds that the film is apparently facing a lot of production problems. “The moment the film went on the floors, rumours spread about the supposed problems with regards to Preity’s production house. From people leaving the team, to shooting in extremely difficult conditions only added to the rumours,” the source adds. “Though the producers won’t reveal the exact reason for this sudden decision to delay the film, it seems it’s the culmination of all those problems that affected their production work in the first place,” says the source.

Prem Raj, director of the film, says, “We are happy to announce that Ishq In Paris is set to release in September. The film is extensively shot in Paris and is on par with global parameters. It’s a contemporary, light-hearted film and Preity is a complete diva in it.” It was recently in the news that apart from becoming a producer, the actor has also turned a script-writer for the film. An insider confirmed that Preity will be seen sharing her name with director and writer Prem Soni in the credit roll of the film. The film will see Preity making her return to the big screen after a hiatus of close to four years.
