Prateik and I are just friends: Amy Jackson

Ever since she stepped into tinsel town, British model Amy Jackson and actor Prateik have been the talk of the town. Besides doing a film Ek Deewana Tha with him, she has also been spotted with him at various events, the most recent being an awards function and his birthday bash. While she doesn’t deny that he is a very good friend, she dismisses all talks of them being a couple.

“Prateik is a really nice guy. To be able to work with someone so talented in my first Bollywood film is a great thing. When I came to Mumbai, I didn’t know anyone here and along with being my co-star Prateik was also one of the first few friends I made in Bollywood. He is a sweet guy and an even better co-star.”

While she denies being romantically involved with him, she does agree that he is one of the best-looking guys around. “I am sure most girls, if given a chance would like to date him. He is really protective of me as well because I don’t know much about the place but really, that’s about it. We are just good friends.”

Talking about Mumbai, the Liverpool-based model says, the city has become her second home as she has adapted to it really well. “I love Mumbai. Initially when I came, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to adjust and fit in but right now, I love this place. I love the weather, the food, the people, the industry, everything. I am looking forward to a long run.”

For this British model however, things haven’t been easy. She is currently taking Hindi lessons and learning to dance as well. “My Hindi was really bad when I came but now I am slowly picking up the language. I am also learning different dance forms. I hope to do good work here and make a difference.”
