Police play spoilsport at Shahid Kapur's birthday bash

Police played spoilsport at Bollywood actor Shahid Kapur’s 30th birthday bash at a restaurant that was going on till the wee hours today after local residents complained about loud music.

The Kaminey star was celebrating his special day with close friends had to call off his party at Olive restaurant in suburban Khar as the cops reached the spot at 3am following complaints by local residents to the police control room.

"The party of actor Shahid Kapur was stopped after police reached there," additional police commissioner (west) Amitabh Gupta told PTI.

The manager of the restaurant was fined Rs5,000 for playing loud music till wee hours and thus violating noise pollution norms and the rules set for late night parties, Mangesh Pote, senior inspector at Khar police station said.
