TV actor Pravesh Rana, plans to stay away from fiction on the small-screen and to stick to reality TV only.
Q: After seperating couples in Emotional Atyachar you are now
re-uniting lovers in Live Out Loud. What prompted you to take
up this show?
A: First of all, let me clarify that in Emotional Atyachar, I wasn’t being the negative person you are making out to be, I was only showing them the mirror. It had its own space. Yes, in Live Out Loud, I help people to get back with their loved ones and it has a different format. For instance, if a guy wants to get back with his girlfriend, we help him with a dance squad, which will join the participant in making it happen. The show’s intention is good and it has a lot of positive energy.
Q: What is the idea behind the show?
A: Youth channels are often associated with violence, aggression and abusive language. This show brings out the sweet, sensitive side of the generation.
Q: Are you saying that all the episodes end on a positive note?
A: No, there are some, which have been neutral but we don’t like any negativity on this show.
Q: So far, you have only been a part of reality shows, any plans of acting in a serial?
A: No, you’ll never see me acting on TV. Reality shows made me what I am today, I am fortunate to have been a part of these clutter-breaking reality shows, whether it was about relationships or hosting talent shows. I have consciously kept away from fiction shows as I enjoy doing reality TV, they give me a chance to be my self and the audiences like me for who I am. I’m planning to act only in movies.
Q: So, any films in the pipeline?
A: Well, things are happening, there are three projects, but I cannot talk about them right now.
