Actors often are storytellers themselves, which is what makes them take into acting. Prashanth of Orata — I Love You fame is another such, who believes in quality stories rather than spamming himself on the screen with bad releases. No wonder that the actor has been busy for two-and-a-half years working on his dream project Chirayu.
“This is something that I’ve written for the past two-and-a-half years. People wrote me off thinking I didn’t do any work. But I busy working on this script that I am eager to translate on screen,” says Prashanth.
The actor has tried to impress every kind of an audience in the script. “When you watch a movie, you identify it with a pattern. Either it is sentimental, a comedy or a mass film. What I’ve done is taken a bit of everything to make a typical commercial film,” says Prashanth, who was last seen in Kempe Gowda.
He will be producing this film and starring in it too. “I’m approaching Prakash Rai to act too, which will be confirmed in a week,” says Prashanth, who’s still looking for a heroine.
The script is the key to this story, he maintains. “The audience is smart. My story will puzzle them and make them think. The audience expect that in a film. I hope to achieve that,” says Prashanth.
Quiz him about the common belief of how actors end up directing/producing films when they don’t get scripts and he says, “It’s not just that. I don’t want to act in just another film. It is good to act in one quality film that will be remembered by all, instead of acting in 100 bad ones.”
