Obama khush hua!

Acclaimed film-maker of Indian origin Pan Nalin’s documentary on environment titled Echo of Eco is making it big globally. After being screened at the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference last December, the documentary will now be shown to the members of the US Senate. Apparently US President Barack Obama loved the documentary when he watched it at the Copenhagen summit.

Nalin says, “Obama has liked the film so much that he will
share it with his Senate. I hope that’s a beginning of a long career for this short movie with a mission. Deep inside, I always knew that whispers of Echo of Eco will have more powerful impact then earsplitting shouting and screaming about the saving the planet. As a film-maker your only weapon to fight the climate change is your idea. I am happy that today the idea seems to inspire the spirit of saving the ecology.”

At the Copenhagen summit, 30 film-makers from around the world volunteered to make movies on the theme ‘Save Our Environment’. All the films of 2 to 3 minute duration each will travel to different countries to highlight the need for climate protection and conservation of nature.

Mihir Upadhyay, the producer of Echo of Eco, says, “The film has been made with an honest intention of contributing to the global awareness against pollution. We have made an attempt to showcase the neglected impact of the mad race for so-called progress of the human race.”
