Now, Shibani Kashyap turns actor

Singer and composer Shibani Kashyap is turning into an actor and that too for a children’s animation movie titled Ashoka.

Talking about why she chose to do the movie, Shibani says, “I found the script interesting, unusual and challenging and I found the team to be very comfortable to work with and the music very promising. Also, this will be the first acting opportunity for me. So, naturally I am quite excited.”

The singer is diversifying herself slowly and steadily as an artist. She is playing herself in a film titled Osama for which she is also composing the music.

Speaking about what she loves about children’s films, Shibani opens up, “Ashoka is a first for me. I have never sung for any animation film. Tapping the children’s market is very important in any case and I just love children. Each time I perform for
children, the love I get from them is pure and unconditional.”

When asked if she would keep up with the times and go bold for films, Shibani says, “I have a very clean image and I would like to maintain that. One can look hot and sexy without exposing and that’s what I intend to do,” she shoots.

But the singer is quite frank when asked where she feels her sex appeal lies.

“It has to be my eyes and a beautiful mind. I feel eyes are a window to the soul and you need your mind to be appealing as looks are only transient,” she says.

Shibani also tells us about what really turns her on in a man. “It has to be his sense of humour. I really can’t connect with anyone if that person is not interesting to talk to and can’t make me smile and laugh,” she ends.
