Now, Hansika can vote

After finding out a place to live in for Monica Bedi, Sanjay Nirupam is helping newbie Hansika Motwane to get herself registered as a voter (Hansika turned 18 on August 9). A careful Hansika confirmed that since they are family friends with Sanjay, the MP has promised her a ‘hassle free registration’.

“The first thing that I wanted to do after I turned 18 was get myself registered as a voter. I know that it includes a bit of hassle since there’s some paperwork involved. But I wanted to get registered as a voter,” says Hansika.

And so, she has turned to sitting MP Sanjay Nirupam for help. “Sanjay and his wife is a family friend of ours and he has promised me that he will get me enlisted on the voter’s list. So this worry of mine is taken care of,” she adds.

Hansika reveals that she is preparing for her Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) so that she can take up political science at the post graduate level. But in spite of that the actor reveals that she has decided that acting will supersede her studies.

“I don’t want to give up acting but I don’t want to give up my studies either. I come from an academically-oriented family. But at the same time, it would not be possible for me to take up full-time course abroad because I have an acting career here. So I have decided to take up a part-time, correspondence course abroad that will require my presence on the campus only once a year,” says the student of Poddar International.
