No cell-phones on Remo D'Souza's sets!

With the rise in cases of shoot leaks happening from film sets these days, where footage recorded on mobile cameras being uploaded on online sites is not unheard of, it seems like filmmaker Remo D’Souza is in no mood to take any such risks.

The choreographer-turned-director is at present shooting for some elaborate dance sequences for his film ABCD (Any Body Can Dance) with his lead actor Lauren Gottlieb (of So You Think You Can Dance fame) admits to being wary of his sequences finding their way on unauthorised websites and has apparently banned the use of cell-phones on his sets.

“We have grand dance sequences in the film and we want to be extra cautious so that nothing that we want to show in the film gets out and makes it to the web. Plus, Lauren’s dancing is one of the biggest attractions in the film. We don’t want it to be leaked at all.

So the building we are rehearsing in is under complete surveillance and we have banned mobile phones too,” says the filmmaker. Apparently, buzz of the international dancing star shooting for her Bollywood debut has already caught on and security has been hired to keep curious crowds from trying to catch her intricate dance moves on the cameras. “Her dance has been attracting a lot of attention, both wanted and unwanted,” jokes an insider from the film that also stars actor-filmmaker Prabhudeva and choreographer Ganesh Acharya.
