Social activist and entrepreneur Nita Ambani has formed a special team of doctors who are providing round-the-clock help to the blast victims at Opera House in Mumbai. With the state government bearing the costs, the teams of doctors, nurses and medical professionals have been working tirelessly at the hospital for the past 48 hours.

“Sir Hurkisondas Nurrotumdas Hospital is the nearest big hospital near Opera House and most of the blast victims were rushed there. Nita rushed into the hospital late into the night, when she heard about the victims and spent most of her waking hours working for the victims. A special team of medical professionals have been formed to treat the victims,” says a source who has also been frequenting the hospital due to personal reasons.

A spokesperson also confirmed about the developments. “She doesn’t want to draw attention towards her, she wouldn’t want to comment on this. She is personally supervising the treatment to ensure that the death toll doesn’t rise more.”
Sources say that though a lot of people had come in for treatment, the hospital has admitted 34 of them because their condition was serious.

“Out of the 34 we couldn’t save the lives of six people, but since then the death toll has not risen. We have kept the rest of the 28 patients under observation, but the doctors are of the opinion that most of them are out of danger,” the spokesperson added. Nita has also banned photographers and cameramen from inside the hospital to ensure that the blast victims are provided with complete security.
